There are people you meet in life, sometimes only brief, that you get a sense of wanting to know more. Al Kidner is one of those guys. I met him briefly at Wild Deer Expo last year and had his name mentioned on a very positive note in several hunting camps.
With no agenda, we talk Real Estate, Army and the The Brotherhood, Fatherhood and as usual a few hunting stories thrown in. We touch on people that have left a mark on our daily thoughts one way or another.

He's back, and for good reason. My buddy Josh Rogers recently returned from a hunt that is a little different from the Sambar Deer that he has become so well known for. Travelling to Wisconsin, USA to pursue the most highly hunted game animal of North America, the Whitetail Deer. But throw in hunting pressure beyond our belief, mixed with a very cagey species and not so desirable weather, your in for a tough hunt. Welcome to a special episode coming from Sambar Camp
Rob Herbert @robert_herbert of R and N Blades kindly invited myself and Josh Rogers to his hunting property for the weekend. We joined Rob and his good mate Marty Phillips @martyphillips for a weekend of laughs, a bit of hunting and everything else Hunting Camp offers.
The first part of this episode is not to be missed, Rob talks us through is battle with PTSD and how it has changed his life and he handles it, to who he is today. The title "Your Not Alone" sums up this episode and we stress everyone and anyone to reach out for help when times get tough, there is someone to help and talk to.
We then switch things up, poor a few more beverages and things pretty well go down hill from there.

Today's guest is Craig Murton, a South Australian, born into a professional fishing family on Kangaroo Island. Taught by his elder brothers, hunting quickly became 2nd nature to Craig and now 40 odd years later, still has the same passion as he did in his earlier days and possibly more. A really fun chat that I thoroughly enjoyed, and as always, took plenty away from.

As I grew up reading Bowhunting magazines and finding idols amongst the photos, one hunter always caught my attention.
Darryl Bulger is a surfboard shaper by profession, excellent 3D Archer and a Bowhunter who has walked the walk.
Putting nerves aside, Darryl shares incredible stories of his early days of bowhunting and some from more recent times. I really hope you enjoy the story telling in this episode as much as I did. One day I hope we can share a Hunting Camp and create a few more.
