Happy Australia Day Folks
Welcome to the first episode of 2020 and what a great way to start.
This week Tobie heads to Perth to catch up with two of the best in the west, Graham Cahill and Ben chambers!
Graham Cahill is a journalist who is most well know for his long term involvement in 4WD Action. Grahams life evolves around the Aussie bush and doing what he can to spend the most time in it. As an avid bow hunter Graham happen to find himself slinging arrows along side Ben Chambers, the only bow hunter to ever complete an ABA grand slam in 12 months!!
Even with 3ft difference in height this odd couple have been mates ever since. The boys touch on the finer things in life like being vertically challenged in long grass, assembling tents naked in the rain and stepping over your mates fresh poo to shoot a buck.
It's a long one folks so settle in and get ready for a laugh.

Nevada High Country Mule Deer - Part 1
Friday Nov 22, 2019
Friday Nov 22, 2019
This week on HCDU is Craig's semi-live recap of his Mule Deer hunt in the high desert country of Nevada.
.
On this trip Craig was joined by close friend and Co-host Josh Rogers. Recording from camp and as the days tick away, the boys start going a little stir crazy and the shenanigans begin.
.
The high country desert of Nevada is a brutal climate with hot, dry, windy conditions throughout the day and dropping to almost freezing temps at night.
.
The Mule Deer that inhabit the area are extremely wary, evading predators every minute of the day and have very little movement throughout daylight hours making hunting these elusive deer challenging with the bow.
.
We have edited this one a little differently and hopefully you get to feel like you're on the hunt with us.

South Cox -Stalker Stickbows
Thursday Oct 31, 2019
Thursday Oct 31, 2019
On this weeks episode, Herbie is joined by South Cox of Stalker Stickbows, in South’s home in Colorado.
South Cox’s interest in archery started at the age of five when he found an old wood recurve under a neighbour’s house. Despite having no mentor and growing up in a vegetarian family during his younger years, the instincts of the hunter ran deep.
At 16, he shot his first deer with a bow, cementing a lifetime commitment to the sport.
In 2007, with 20 years of professional woodworking experience, South took over Stalker Recurves, reviving a company that had been dormant for the better part of a decade. Combining both of his passions; a profound love of woodworking and archery, he enthusiastically dove into the new venture. His keen eye for detail and diligent work ethic can easily be recognized in the artistic changes, additions and technical advances in the bow lines.
In 1989, South’s first bowhunting article was published, spawning a new career that would eventually have him published in a half dozen different archery magazines, contributing to a couple of bowhunting books and earning him a position as Field Editor of Eastmans’ Bowhunting Journal, a position that he still maintains.
In 2012, with the blessing of his wonderful wife Kyri, after 25 years in construction, South decided to “retire” and take up bow building full time. Between writing and bow building, he is now fully immersed in the hunting industry, truly “living the dream!”.
